Foreign Ministry to host editorial award ceremony
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade will host an awards and awards ceremony in mid-July for students who have entered its annual essay writing competition.
The July 15 ceremony will be held at Kingstown Methodist Church Hall, starting at 10:00 a.m., according to a Public Information Agency statement.
The competition provides young people with a platform to hone their research and writing skills, and enables participants to gain in-depth knowledge about local, regional and international affairs and events through research, its applicability to their lives. and to Vincentian society.
This year, a total of 47 students participated, from primary and secondary schools, as well as the Community College of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Telecommunications company Digicel, which has supported the competition since its inception, will be offering trophies, cash prizes, Digicel e-learning plans, as well as portable Wi-Fi devices this year with a three-month renewal for students. five best participants in each competition category.
In addition, each student will receive a certificate of participation which will be signed by the Prime Minister and Minister responsible for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Dr Ralph Gonsalves.
