Oldham Animal Center launches free will writing service

THE RSPCA in Oldham has launched a free will writing service.

The charity and animal centre, which was established in 1987, relies on donations, fundraising and bequest donations to enable it to provide care for the hundreds of animals that pass through its doors each year, often due to abuse, neglect or neglect.

Chief executive Vincent Sherard-Bornshin said: “For many years bequests have played a vital source of income for the centre, and many charities offer a similar service, but we have not been able to to offer free writing in the past. because the cost of providing the service has prevented us from offering it until now.

“Working in partnership with Kwil means there is no cost to us or the person making the will and I hope it will encourage people to consider leaving a lasting legacy today, for tomorrow.

‘This small, independent charity does not receive day-to-day funding from the larger RSPCA or money from donations made to it and is dependent on direct donations to the Oldham charity.’

He added: “We did not want to prevent anyone from our valuable community from enjoying the service by only using an online provider and we are very happy to launch a free phone number alongside a link to a website so that all community members can take advantage of the free service whether they are online or not.

“We all know the importance of writing a will and hope this free service will simplify the process, with most wills taking less than 30 minutes to complete.”
